For all those going, a little phone advice.
The best way to aviod a huge phone bill (other than not using your phone) is to get a pay-as -you-go SIM card in Cairo, especially if your are around for longer than the conference. For those with a Blackberry the £15 booster that allows you unlimited internet access (ie FB and Twitter) is well worth it and make sure you link up with other BB users and then msg them with Blackberry messanger which is also free. Normal texts and calls will still cost 40p and £1.50 a min.
Plus Mobnil, often the partner for UK mobile companies, are famously useless so the bill comes ages late so you don't know what you are spending!!
